November 2024
Well look who showed up...
Yes, I know, I know. We haven't had a newsletter since... August?
September was a difficult month for me and October, all Octobers, are dedicated to my Dante's 30 Days of Horror. That being said, I am glad to be back checking in on you all and what has been keeping you occupied.

🔌 A Disconnect From Stress
From the days of... September? ... August? Anyway, it was before October. People I was working with just made me agitated.
I don't like repeating myself, I really don't. I will tell you something, and I will repeat it again once and only once. After that, I will not bring it up, I will move on from you and from it. I get more peace that way. I am not an advocate of rehashing the same thing over and over that should have been done ages ago.
The number of things were pilling up and that last part was my breaking point. As it would have it, I have been disconnecting from things that do no do me any good.
🤮 A Distaste With The Green App
As the days, neigh the months have gone past I have developed a distaste for the green app that everyone is hooked on. It has mutated into something that I personally do not like. Because of that, I have gradually moved away from using it less and less, opting for more options that do what they say they are supposed to and not be an 'everything' app.
⌨ A Fun Keyboard Thing
I spent quite a bit of time on my keyboard. That means I am usually moving my fingers around to press things like SHIFT, CTRL and ALT - the modifier keys. As as expected, that would get tedious and cause pain.
By happenstance, I came across this man from Dreams of Code who was talking about Home row mods. In essence, you give extra functionality to you keys so they perform a different action when you hold versus when you press.
In my case, I have added the mods to my Home Row such that my keys JKL when held act as CTRL, SHIFT and ALT respectively. This is mirrored on the other side with SDF. I can still type everything i need to, I just don't have to do awkward reaching to get to modifier keys.
🌇 Winding Down For the Year
It has been an interesting year, quite a bit has gone on. We have laughed, we have explored, we have experienced and we have come out alive. I hope you made good use of the time you had and used it to the fullest. 😄
While this cycle comes to an end, I wind down and slow down, slow waaaaay down and recover from the plethora of things I had to deal with. No new contracts, no new interactions, no new projects. Just slowing, resting, relaxing, recharging.
🎉 Over To You
It has been several months, you must have interesting things happen to you. You gotta. Sooo, tell me. Tell me, tell me tell me…
P.S. This is will be the last newsletter for this year. I am taking a break from writing, interneting and embracing nature. I hope you do the same and spend more time with your loved ones.
See y’all in the next one
